2026 Summit

Over 150 people brought genorocity, intrigue and passion to the Hudson Valley where we traced the route of bio-based materials through Dutchess and Columbia County in New York; exchanged knowledge and supported attendee led initiatives with our collective intelligence.

2025 Summit

Over 80 people spent two beautiful spring days together in Vermont where we traced the route of bio-based materials through Chittenden County; learnt from experts in policy, data, finance, and education; and co-develop strategies to address the challenges of scaling bio-based materials.

2023 Summit

On November 15th 2023 a collective of over 60 individuals representing the full spectrum of the bio-based construction value chain attended the Summit in Boston, Massachusetts.

The proceedings from this event, and a follow up online event of 120 people, is a summary of the inaugural summit and is intended to provide a comprehensive overview of the event’s dialog and workshop outcomes.

Bio-Based Materials Exchange in Seattle 2026

The Bio-Based Materials Exchange in Seattle invited over 150 people to Perkins&Will’s office to learn, discuss and network around bio-based materials. The collaborative event was hosted by MASS, Perkins&Will, Brightworks Sustainability, C.Scale, CLF, and Sustainable NW Wood.

Biobased Construction Roundtable 2025

As part of Climate Week NYC we gathered 130 decision makers from across the material ecosystem to collaborate on scaling up bio-based building materials. This was a collaborative event organised by MASS, Healthy Materials Lab, Living Futures, CEA Yale, Metropolis, Henning Larsen, and Brightworks Sustainability.

Rocky Mountain Natural Building Conference 2025

The Rocky Mountain Natural Building Conference is an annual gathering of builders, designers, and material innovators focused on sustainable construction. Ace McArleton, New Frameworks, and James Kitchin, MASS, provide the Keynote.
